Navy on Navy
Navy makes up over half of my closet -- I'm not ashamed to say it. I probably have 6 navy sweaters, do I need 6 navy sweaters? No. But I love the color so much that I don't feel guilty when I compulsively purchase new navy items for my closet. Navy is also such a staple color to have in your closet. You can pair almost every color with it and you can wear it for all four seasons.
Today I am utilizing the abundance of navy in my closet to bring you all a navy on navy look. I love this Lenore Skort from Lilly Pulitzer. I purchased it at the end of last summer while I was working there before leaving for school. During the time, I put myself on a spending freeze but broke it for this skort! Lilly doesn't do too much with solid navy bottoms. We have a pair of navy Callahan shorts but I had never seen a navy skort before. The slit in the side and the white detailing gives it that old school Lilly vibe that we all love so much.
I paired the skort with my J.Crew grosgrain ribbon tee. This is one of my favorite items in my closet at the moment. The navy and white stripe is always a classic but the grosgrain ribbon at the bottom of the shirt and along the cuffs really gives it a unique J.Crew feel. Not to mention they added a gold button detailing on top of the ribbon.
For accessories, I kept it simple like I tend to with my club masters from J.Crew Factory, navy and white Jack Rogers, pearl earrings and my Kiel James Patrick gold pearl choker. Everything is linked below so you can shop this look!
