Philanthropy & Sisterhood Round Dresses

I'm dreading but also extremely looking forward to recruitment. It's such an exciting time, especially for those girls rushing sororities. It's an intimidating process going into recruitment. You usually spend the first two days in a Go Greek Panhellenic t shirt and a cute pair of shorts or a skirt but once you head into philanthropy round and sisterhood round, picking out an outfit with no guidance can be daunting. I for one, had no clue that to wear when it came to those dressier days of rush. Lucky for me, I had a sister to ask for someone I could look to for guidance but some of you might not have that! I want to share some of my favorite picks for sisterhood and philanthropy rounds of recruitment.

Like I mentioned before, these rounds of the recruitment process are dressier than the open house round days beforehand. I would suggest that you wear a nice dress. If you go through fall rush, I would go with a dress because it's a long day and much more manageable than trying to mess with a skirt and blouse. Make sure then you're picking out theses outfits to avoid anything too tight, to short, or too low cut. I would suggest that you stay away from body con dresses and even tank top dresses. Remember, this isn't an interview for an internship, go with something that can show off your personality. Also know that you don't have to be spending tons of money on these dresses. You can find cute and classy dresses at sites like Forever21, ASOS, and SheInside. All of the dresses that I'm sharing today are under $50! PS: the very first one is an almost identical Tory Burch dupe of her Garden Party dress from spring. It's polyester and not part linen, but when you're saving $231, it's worth it.

With these outfits, I would suggest having a more sophisticated hairstyle. Maybe a half up half down hair-do, or even a loose blow out or loose curls. I would go with finished but natural makeup and simple gold jewelry. For shoes, go with a cute but comfy heel because you'll be on your feet all day but you still want to look polished and put together. I love these shoes from Target -- they match every dress I'm sharing below!
