Cozy Fall Essentials
Snow popped up on my weather app for Harrisonburg the other day which signifies the official arrival of Fall. Even though it's been autumn for a few weeks now, the weather has just caught up with the month. So much so that I have already worn my nano puff jacket to class a few times and I've officially swapped running shorts for leggings at the gym.
With football, pumpkin patches, apple picking, spiced toddy, Halloween, and changing leaves it's almost impossible not to fall in love with Fall. I love snuggling up and watching a good movie or maybe writing posts to some premature Christmas songs (guilty!). I have noticed this season that I am repeatedly reaching for a few of my favorite items and when I sat down to wonder why, I realized it is because they all enhance the season. Everything is so cozy and warm and just makes free nights in as well as days after long days of class better.
Everything linked below is extremely affordable and well worth every penny. If I didn't include something in my cozy fall list that's on yours, share it in the comments below! I would love to try out your favorite items for Fall!
| Boyfriend Sweater | Kurig Apple Cider | Thankful Candle | J. Crew Slippers | Camp Socks | Pocket Projector | Plaid Blanket | Pink Pineapple Shop Hats | Warm and Cozy Mug |
Okay let's first talk about this boyfriend sweater up in the left corner. This is my favorite thing in my closet right now. I probably wear it to class three days a week because it's so warm and cozy and I can wear it with jeans and leggings. It's from Marley Lilly and is currently on sale! If you aren't partial to the grey, they also make the sweater in a heathered camel. It comes oversized which is great for snuggling up in, and the v neck isn't too low. I layer mine with t shirts for extra warmth or a vest on chillier days.
I also love the Thankful candle from Bath and Body Works right now. The jar is to pretty and will sit right on my windowsill and match my twinkle lights. It's the Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin candle from B&BW and will make your entire room smell like Thanksgiving. Every now and then Bath and Body Works has surprise sales or special candle sales as we near the holidays to keep your eye out for those.
Some of my favorite cozy accessories are sherpa slippers, cabin socks, and knit stocking caps. J.Crew and LL Bean both make incredible lined slippers for colder days. I remember last year I ended up rush shipping a pair to my dorm because it was always freezing in there. I never walked around in my dorm without them or a pair of cabin socks. I am partial to the LL Bean camp socks pictured above. They are affordable and are so thick and cozy, they're hard to resist. They also go great with your Bean Boots! The pom pom stocking cap is also a must for Fall if you're looking to feel cozy. I love the ones from Pink Pineapple Shop. They have every color and almost every style pom pom you could think of. They are cashmere knit hats perfect for October through February.
The last thing I want to rave about is the Pocket Projector from Brookstone. In collaboration with HBO, they sent me one of these little guys and they are awesome. I seriously can't talk highly enough about these. For as small as they are and as fragile they seem, these little guys are durable and extremely high quality. They connect to your phone or to your computer. You will need an HDMI converter that both Apple and Amazon sell, but those are worth the $35 for watching TV from your phone on a projector. I snuggle up under my blankets, and drink hot cider while catching up on Riverdale or Sex and the City. They can project up to 50 inches and the bulb has a 20,000 hour life on it.
xx,
Lucy
