Classically Chic Girl
I have loved the changes on the blog recently. I have received such positive feedback on both the new blog layout and the new Instagram editing and I couldn't be anymore grateful to all of my extremely supportive readers. Seriously, y'all have hearts of gold. THANK YOU!
Truthfully, I didn't expect to bring so many changes to the blog so soon After all, I just completely changed everything back in May. It's been half a year and it seems like I'm already onto the next thing. To be completely honest, I knew that the previous version of Daily Dose of Prep was temporary. I loved the fun bright colors during the Springtime but I also knew I was maturing as well as my style. I needed to change DDP to something that was a little more sophisticated. I sat down at my computer after a waitressing shift over break with the intention of just tinkering around with a new layout but never publishing anything. The next thing I knew, it was 5am and the entire site was different along with the logo.
Unintentional and unexpected for sure, but I guess my subconscious knew exactly what I wanted so I just rolled with it. The blush pink and black are the perfect combination of classic style with a girly flair. I will for sure be sharing more modern looks all while staying true to my classic roots. I started incorporating that same idea into my Instagram and so far most everyone seems to be enjoying it. VSCO cam seriously is a dream of an app, it has helped me transform the blog entirely. I can already tel that this new change will help establish my originality even further. I think sometimes preppy Instagrams can sometimes be carbon copies of another and by spreading myself style I think I can establish myself as one of a kind all while reaching a broader audience.
I love being able to share my style a little bit further now. For example, I really like adding a little sparkle to any outfit and these Vans are just the ticket to do so. I styled a girly sweater from J. Crew and my J. Crew toothpick jeans with trendy trench coat from Ann Taylor. To add a modern flair, I threw on my comfy Old Skool Vans and some ivory tortoise shell glasses.
