Monthly Must Haves: February 2018

Can you believe it's already February?! I surely can't! As I was collecting my wishlist for this monthly must haves list, all I could think about was Spring. It seems like that's just about all brands can think about too. The sweater are getting thinner, turtlenecks are getting shorter, pants are getting cropped, and we're moving away from thick wool, into lighter long sleeve blouses. It's nice to see pastels start to pop up and see more colorful shoes on the market as well. From here on out, I'm seeing nothing but Spring -- I'm so ready to break out pinstripes, pastels, Lilly Pulitzer, and Jack Rogers. Okay, that's some forward thinking... maybe I'll break out cropped jeans and espadrilles and slowly work my way into shorts!

One thing I wanted to share a bit about on today's post is the velvet jumpsuit. It's a more "wintery" item on the list, which makes sense seeing as it came out in December at J. Crew. It's on extreme sale right now y'all and they have almost every size online still. It's listed at $57 but in stores, you take an additional 50% off which makes it a whopping $27. Twenty seven dollars, y'all. The only way to you can beat it is if you add another sale on top of it -- wait. You can? YES. You college students out there can whip out your student I.D. and take an additional 15% off which takes a couple more dollars off the final price. You can get this $138 playsuit for $24 which is just crazy to even think about. It has pockets which is a total bonus and look fabulous layered with a turtleneck sweater, a bodysuit, or even an oxford. I styled mine with a white button up the other day and loved how it looked. For a city-chic vibe, dress it with black heels or booties. If you want to wear a more casual look, I thought it looked pretty fun paired with my glitter Old Skool vans, as crazy as that sounds! It's one of those items you can style a thousand different ways and is something you can play around with!
