Love for Ladurée

While in New York City, the trip simply wouldn't have been complete without a stop at Ladurée, a little taste of Paris smack in the middle of Madison Avenue. This patisserie houses the most delicious desserts that taste as if you purchased them in the heart of Paris. Although they sell all kinds of delicious creations, the macarons are absolutely stellar and can cheer up any bad day. After a long day of walking in the rain, and before a long afternoon of shows and work, Kirsten and I popped into Ladurée for a early afternoon snack. Nothing makes a cloudy day seem a little brighter than the energetic colors of a half dozen macrons.

For my long day of walking and doing touristy things, I styled my black super skinny jeans from H&M with my favorite new blouse from J. Crew. This crisp white button up has the most perfect silhouette and is adorned with three classic velvet, black bows. I wore this button up three different ways throughout the trip and never felt like I was "over wearing" it. I loved it styled with jeans, a skirt, and a jumpsuit. It's a classic staple that I can see myself carrying from my college days into the work force. I styled the jeans with a pair of black over the knee boots from the Dolce Vita for Target Collection. I love theses shoes and they're currently on sale! They have a small heel but are still incredibly comfortable to walk around in. I walked, and I'm not kidding you, 9 miles in these shoes and wasn't bothered by them.

For warmth, I threw on a nude wool coat from Ann Taylor that's years old. It was on loan from my mom's closet for the weekend! It's the perfect coat for a day in NYC. It matched everything throughout the weekend. I swear to you, I never left the hotel without it or my black beret from Target. I love this little hat! It looked great styled with every outfit and is extremely warm. I felt significantly warmer when wearing it and was pleased I slipped it in my suitcase last minute! For an extra layer of warmth, I threw my camel colored scarf on which isn't pictured below, but trust me, it was a total life saver this weekend!

To polish this look off, I styled my cheetah print belt with the ensemble. I love this pop of print the belt adds to make this black and white outfit a little more interesting. I picked up this purse in NYC the day prior to when these photos were taken and I love it! It's a blush, cream, and black satchel from Forever21 that was only $27. It held my DSLR camera, wallet, cosmetic bag, and phone charger and never looked like it was too bulky or overflowing.
