Weekly Skinny: March 2nd

Seriously, I cannot get over my excitement for March. The first two months of the year are always so slow for me, I feel like I'm going nowhere. Now, with the sun shining a little more and flowers starting to bloom, I see the end of sophomore year in sight. I can't believe I have less than two months of school left until I'm halfway finished with college. It's so weird saying that 😳. This week has been surprisingly not too busy, despite the fact that it's midterms. I only had one test this week, which was a relief since last week was too insane to handle.

Midterms behind me and sunshine ahead of me, I am so excited for Spring Break. I haven't talked too much about it, but I'm so excited to tell you where I'm traveling to...my house!! That's right, I'm staying home for break. No fancy getaway destination, just a week to decompress, spend time with my family, and make a little extra money. Last year for Spring Break, my dad and I travelled to NYC for the ACC tournament and spent a few weeks in the city, just the two of us. Seriously, it is the best trip I have ever been on. I love traveling, but I have to say, I'm really looking forward to not doing anything. With travel comes time on a plane or a train, living out of a suitcase, or in a bed that's not you're own. As exciting as that is, it's hectic and stressful sometimes. I also was just in NYC for fashion week a few weekends ago and don't need to go on a trip.

With seven entire days to myself, I had to fill those days with things to do. Because I'm so busy at school these days, it's hard for me to sit still for more than two days at home and do nothing. I've already put my name on the waitressing schedule and scheduled a few blog photoshoots. I've been horrible this month about getting out and shooting blog looks. The perfect storm of afternoon meetings, late shifts at work, weekends at home or in NYC and midterms really affected my blogging pattern. Spring Break is my time to catch up on photos, get blogging and brainstorming for March, April, and May. I already have a few ideas that I'm excited to share with you. I want to plan a day trip to D.C., because I still have yet to go, but that might wait until Summer.

Hunter Boots for Target Collaboration -- Target is back at it again with the most creative collaborations we never knew we needed. Hunter Boots is Target's newest collaboration coming out April 14th, and I simply cannot contain wait! This line will feature a wide range of apparel, accessories, home goods, and outdoor items. All items will span from $5-$80, and boots don't go over $50. That's a third of the price compared to their original boots!

J. Crew Lingerie -- How precious is this collection. I'm a J. Crew groupie, that's no surprise to anyone, so my love for this line shouldn't be a surprise either. I love the beautiful pastel colors they chose, especially that light pink color. My favorite ones are the french bralettes with dotted lace. I can't get over how minimalist and dainty these are. The fact that they can make sometime so simple, yet so classy is incredible to me. The prices are pretty decent too, which makes me really happy!

UVA Buzzer Beater -- March means March Madness and crazy basketball games. Although, I don't look like the sportiest girl in the world, I love watching sports. Cue Andy Williams because the most wonderful time of the year is here...March Madness. Post season college basketball is here and this upcoming week marks conference tournaments which will lead us to Selection Sunday and then the NCAA tournament. Do y'all want a Daily Dose of Prep bracket contest? Comment below. Last night, UVA came from behind with a three point buzzer beater shot off Louisville to defend their number one ranking. I was screaming in my room watching and rewatched the final shot maybe 7 times. #marchistoomad

Lilly Pulitzer Romper -- Lilly brought out another batch of their Spring collection yesterday, and I'm really excited about some of their new items. This Lilly Pulitzer romper is perfect for Spring and Summer. It's not too loud with a print or pattern, but it makes a statement with it's tailored silhouette, crochet detail, and perfect v-neck. I love the wider arm holes and the slightly a-line waist. It's super slimming too and gives plenty of opportunity to add color using accessories and our favorite pair of wedges.

Aerie One Piece -- Swimsuit season is upon us! I'm a sucker for a good one piece, and this one from Aerie is perfect for the Summertime. The blue and white stripes are so classic and timeless, you can't beat it! The ruffle detailing makes the suit even more special too. It's also on sale right now if you want to get shopping a little bit early this year!

Paper Bag Shorts -- These shorts are a total blast into the preppy past, but were modernized to fit Urban Outfitters' standards. These madras paper bag shorts are so cute. At first I looked at them and wasn't a fan, but the most I came across them, the more I wanted them. I can already see myself wearing them with Jack Rogers and a white button up. I love the fun color the price!

Prime Video -- I have used Prime Video before but, wow I'm obsessed. I cannot stop watching Amazon Prime Video. I love being able to watch some of the Oscar nominees like The Big Sick and catch up on Teen Wolf (my latest tv show binge). Prime video is great if you're a student because it comes along right with your free trail. Take advantage of all of it's features!
