A Springy Shift
Spring, Spring, Spring. That's pretty much all that's been on my mind this month. I cannot believe it's already the 7th of March. I've been doing plenty of online *window* shopping for fun pastels and fun florals. I cannot stress how sick I am of sweaters, parkas, and Bean Boots. I just want to feel the sun on my face and grass between my toes.
Although it's still a little too chilly for sleeveless and sandals, I still think we can easily integrate some of our favorite Spring pieces into our wardrobe without being uncomfortable or feeling like we've jumped the seasonal gun. I think a great way to add an extra layer of warmth and make a shift dress more casual and wearable is to layer it with a button down. I styled my Tory Burch shift with a white J. Crew button down and it was plenty warm for a sunny and 55 degree day last weekend. I styled this dress with pink and white Palm Beach Sandals, but if I had them, I would have worn my Hunter rain boots with them instead. There's something about wellies and sundress that makes my heart happy in the Springtime. For that extra pop of color, I styled my Kate Spade small Isobel bag in Guava with the ensemble. I love the fun and feminine tassel bow and the bright pink the guava infuses into the look.
