Navy is a Neutral + Coupon Code
As far as I'm concerned, navy is a neutral. I love wearing navy more than any other color, mainly because it looks great in any season and isn't quite as serious as black. If you were to open my closet, you would mostly see navy in the form of solids, stripes, and gingham. Today's outfit post is made up a entirely new pieces, so you can shop this entire outfit without finding similar items.
First, I want to talk about this sweater. I've shared this pullover sweater a handful of times before and after owning it for only a few weeks, I can already tell it's going to be put to good use all throughout spring and summer. The fit is perfect, J. Crew did a fabulous job creating a warm, lightweight, and flattering sweater -- something that isn't easy to do. What sets this navy sweater apart from others on the market is the feminine detail in the ruffle collar. I love this fun little detail and how flattering it is. It looks great layered with button ups, over top of dresses, and with your favorite pair of jeans.
These shorts are such a great addition to my spring and summer wardrobe. I knew I needed to find a new pair of navy shorts this year because my old chinos were just way too old. They've seen better days, so I pulled the trigger when this pair went on sale. These ruffle waist navy shorts are from J. Crew Factory and are just over $22. It's a great price for an expensive looking pair of shorts. I love where they hit on my waist and that the inseam isn't too short. The ruffle detailing on the pockets and waistline is also so youthful! I have the same pair in white and wore them all summer long last year. With the white pair and now this navy pair, I don't think I'll need another pair of shorts all summer.
My accessories cater to my New England prep side. The pearl earrings, club master sunglasses, and KJP watch really shines through against the all navy outfit. The World Adventurer watch with its navy and red band, and anchor hands, creates for the perfect Americana watch. If you'd want to match with me, you can use my code LUCYKJP for 15% off your purchase at kjp.com! As for my shoes, I'm wearing my self-declared sandal of spring, the Lois sandal from Target. This leather, cross toe sandal is comfortable for walking, easy to slip on and off, and extremely affordable.
