Monthly Must Haves: May
Can you believe it's already May?! I feel like I was writing Christmas and holiday posts just a few days ago, but in reality it was almost six months ago. WOW. I recently returned home for summer vacation and took a few days off to settle in and truthfully relax. I feel like I've been going and going for the past four months and taking a few days off to organize my life, catch up on personal things, and sit by the lake and read my book is exactly what I needed.
It's kind of weird being back home. Don't get me wrong, I love it - seriously, being back at home is exactly where I want to be. But I loved my school schedule and routine and not seeing my friends every day took a few days to get used to. It's nice not living out of a suitcase though and it's really nice to get back on the work schedule. I also sat outside and read my book for about five hours yesterday which is just about my favorite thing to do, and something that I didn't really get to do at school -- I just didn't have the time. I'm not kidding y'all I didn't turn on the TV and barely even looked at my phone the past two days and it's been fabulous.
At school, my entire paycheck went towards groceries, utilities and bills which is a crucial part of growing up. That being said, it didn't leave too much money for shopping or buying clothes (so sad!). Now that I'm home for summer and back working six days a week, the shopping world is opening back up to me 🙌🏻. I've been scouring the internet and catalogs for new things to buy this summer. I'm still obsessed with my spring color palette of blush, navy, light blue, and white but I just can't get over how great the items look for the upcoming season. Blush pink is such a delicate and dainty color and contrasted against classic and deep navy blue is gorgeous. Both colors are three season colors that carry really nicely from spring into summer and from summer into early fall. Everything is linked down below, happy shopping!
