Weekly Skinny: June 26th

It's been a crazy week and it's only Tuesday. Sunday was a day of running around and getting errands done and then visiting both sets of grandparents in the late afternoon and evening. I spent yesterday working, waitressing, and setting up my new technology. I added an iMac desktop computer to my Apple collection.

I ended up purchasing the 1000 GB iMac yesterday morning after six weeks of saving. I'm so thrilled with my purchase! This is my very first "big girl" purchase. It was a lot of money to spend at once and I kind of forgot the feeling of being just about completely broke, so I'm not to thrilled about that. The software that Apple offers is unbeatable though so I bit the bullet and handed over the plastic.

This week brings a few exciting things in addition to the computer. For one, it's my last week at Lilly Pulitzer which is a little bittersweet. It's time for me to leave the store after three years and with everything going on with the blog and my internship, there just isn't time for everything. See more about that in yesterday's post. Only a few shifts left until this job gets an end date on my resume. This week is also the last week that I'm a teenager! I turn twenty next week, which is a little crazy to say. I don't know if I'm more excited or nervous to close this chapter of my life. Either way, time doesn't stop. Here's what I've been loving recently.

James Corden and Paul McCartney -- All of Spring I have been loving listening to the Beatles. This video solidified my appreciation for both the band and James Corden. I love the Carpool Karaoke videos he hosts but this one was so unique. Paul and James toured Liverpool and Paul detailed significant elements of the community that helped shape his music. It brought James Corden and so many adoring fans to tears. It's well worth taking the time to watch it.

Linen Pom Pom Pants -- I purchased these pants during the first week of June and I am loving them this month! I shared a dressier blog post with them a few weeks back in a white dressy tank and a pair of espadrille wedges, but I have been styling these pants so many different ways. I wear them with basic tees, Birkenstocks and a classic pair of sneakers. I just love these linen pants! They come in black and white and are just perfect for the summertime!

Prep Avenue Planners -- I am a total planner junkie. I have tried everything under the sun. From Lilly Pulitzer agendas to Lauren James, May Designs, Erin Condren, and bullet journaling. I was just about to pull the trigger on a Day Designer when a fellow blogger, Shannon, from Prep Avenue launched her line of student-geared agendas with Evelyn Henson. She has weeks at a glance, months at a glance, a space for your schedules, and even splits days into homework and to do lists. I love that she does that! They are still in the pre-order phase and will be shipping out in the next week or two so get one while you still can! The artwork on the agendas is so beautiful too, Evelyn Henson did a great job with the watercolor work.

Target Tiered Maxi Dress -- These maxi dresses have slowly become more and more popular throughout the spring and summer season; it was only time Target caught onto the trend. The thing about trends, is once it gets down to Target, you never know how they'll execute them. The Universal Threads, Who What Wear, and A New Day lines are saving Target's women's clothing in my opinion, and this dress is just another example of that. This dress is the material of a button up shirt and comes in two beautiful gemstone colors. It's flowy, fun, and fabulous.

Sunday Morning Playlist on Spotify -- If there's one thing I love, it's acoustic music. It calms me down and helps me focus so I spent an hour or so last week making my "Sunday Morning" playlist on Spotify. I shared it on Instagram the other day and several of you followed along. Check it out here!
