July Haul
Goodbye July, hello August! I'm still not over the fact that it's already August. I only have 12 days of summer left until I pack up and head back to school. I'm extremely excited, I am packing a little bit each and every day until the fifteenth! The month of July was pretty low key. It was full of working, blogging, interning, saving, and beaching it up for six days right in the middle of the month. I know -- ironic to say that I spent the month saving money just to post a July haul! Honestly, I did save. Working multiple jobs lends itself to money in a lot of different areas.
This month I also celebrated a birthday so the jeans, leggings, hoops, sweater, and striped top are all from birthday gifts. When you boil that down, it was a month full of shoe shopping and recruitment shopping. And yes, if you follow me on Instagram, you see below that I did in fact, buy those Chanel slingback dupes from Ivanka Trump! They were over half off and were selling fast, so it was now or never. I have been coveting these shoes for weeks and weeks and these were the lowest I could find -- I'm so excited to get them in the mail!!
Along with shoe shopping, I also purchased several items for recruitment in the fall. Each chapter has a strict dress code for each day of recruitment and this year I needed a few things. The first thing I needed was a new white dress. The one I have didn't fit dress code for formal rush, but this one was only $13 so I didn't feel too guilty about buying it. I also bought a new pair of black heels. I didn't need these, that's for sure. I did however want a wrap up black heel and I saw this as the perfect opportunity to pick up a pair. They were $33 from Lulu's, so again, why not.
Finally, I bought a pair of side-laced jeans. I know, kinda trendy for me! These high waisted, raw hem jeans are so. stinking. cute. The gingham ribbon laced up the side is such a cute detail that I might go to the craft store and buy different ribbon so I can interchange them. The fit incredibly well and were only $30. If you love them and decide to purchase them, go several sizes up. I'm usually a 0-2 in American sizing but went up to a 6 in these. They are legit 100% denim and have no stretch to them, so keep that in mind too. If you want to see more about these jeans check my "fashion finds" highlight reel on IG!
