Forget the Rules
Forget what you've heard, you can wear white jeans past Labor Day. I know it seems like traditional fashion exiles those who style white post Labor Day but modern fashion appreciates, accepts and sometimes even encourages it. After all, we love a good winter white outfits and apparently, so does Vogue.
Styling a summery white outfit after the first week of September can seem a little daunting after classic styles told us time and time again that it was a big no-no, but when done correctly you can create a really chic outfit appropriate for the crisp fall season.
The jeans I'm wearing are the high rise 9' from Madewell in a tall length. I love these jeans so much. If you're over 5'9, you absolutley need these jeans. They're the best for tall girls and have incredible stretch to them. I searched high and low for a great pair of white skinny jeans and found these this past summer. I style them all the time because they're so comfortable. They aren't see through and don't show colored undergarments which is always a bonus!
When styling white jeans in the fall, the best thing to do is style the light pants with a dark sweater. Stick with something chic like black, grey, camel brown or a deep merlot. Stay away from pastels or crazy prints. Keep it classic and simple. I styled my white high rise Madewell jeans with a ribbed heather grey mock turtleneck knit from Forever 21. It was an inexpensive piece to add to my closet that I can't see myself living without. To add a fun all touch to the look and add an element of trendiness, I styled my black felt beret with the outfit. Berets took the fashion world by storm last fall and don't seem to be going anywhere. For an element of print, I wore my cheetah print loafers to tie the ensemble together.
