Weekly Skinny: October 17th
Currently sitting in a Barnes & Noble café waiting for my Starbucks order - all is right in the world. Did I mention it's also 57 degrees? Fall is here and I am happy!
I hope everyone is having a fabulous week so far. With half of the week behind us, I've got nothing but eyes for the weekend. This work week has been particularly busy with midterms and literature review papers to work on. I swear I've stayed up until 2am every night since Saturday, but this is all good stress! With just two weeks until Halloween, five weeks until Thanksgiving and ten weeks until Christmas start expecting many holiday themed posts from me.
What I'm Eating: My favorite fall cookie recipe is this chewy ginger molasses cookie recipe from Food Network. They're delicious and perfect for this time of year.
What I'm Drinking: Starbucks caramel apple spice drink. This is Starbucks' take on apple cider and oh my gosh, is it delicious! If you're not a coffee lover, try this drink out.
What I'm Wearing: Vest season is here, so I can't stop wearing my navy quilted puffer vest. For years now it's been a staple of mine and it seems like nothing's changed.
What Candle I'm Burning: Target's Signature Soy candle collection for fall is all that I've been burning recently. I know people treat themselves to ice cream or a new pair of shoes, but I treat myself to a new candle. The Orange Clove candle is my scent for fall right now and I'm already stocking up on the Through the Woods candle for Christmas.
Mock neck sweater in 12 colors - J. Crew is a perfectionist when it comes to fall style. Their mock neck turtleneck is perfect for fall, affordable and is sold in a dozen colors...and I think I need every single one.
Carolina Case cross body bag - This is the most perfect bag for fall and winter and it's under $50. The red adds a pop of color to any outfit. It dresses up a casual look and polishes any formal outfit. I'm already envisioning this bag with leopard loafers and a wool trench coat.
Yes to Tomatoes Charcoal Mask - I love a good peel off mask and when I found this Yes to Tomatoes charcoal peel off mask, I knew I had to buy it. The trick is layer on the product for easier peel off but my skin looks and feels great after using this product. What's better is you can buy it from Target!
Audible - Most of the tasks I do at work can be done with headphones in. I'm sick of listening to the same several playlists on repeat so I downloaded Audible. On the days when I'm all caught up on my podcasts, I turn on an audio book. I've been missing reading books for pleasure this semester due to my heavy workload, but now I can still listen to those books and make my way through my reading list.
