Outfits for Every Thanksgiving

Something about Thanksgiving gets me really excited. Every year I always start to feel the holiday spirit kick in around this time. Thanksgiving in the Smith household is a pretty casual affair. It's been the same routine for 24 years now and even though we've moved houses, gone to college, and taken on new jobs we all still manage to make our way back to the table to count our blessings on Thanksgiving. My mom spends all of Wednesday and Thursday cooking the most delicious meal. My immediate family enjoys that meal for lunch and then all of us promptly fall asleep two hours later. Around 4:00 p.m. we then pile into the car and head to my paternal grandparent's house to break bread with the 36 other aunts, uncles and cousins on my dad's side of the family.

I love the family traditions we've created and I wouldn't trade them for anything. I like how casual they are and the love I feel when we gather around the table. That being said, I know not everyone shares in a casual dinner. Some choose to stay at home with a few friends, and to that I say sweatpants all the way, but I know other families partake in quite the formal affair.
