April Showers, Bring May Flowers

Can you believe it?! It's April already and I'm not quite sure how we got here so quickly. I have less than a month left in my junior year. In fact, I enroll in my senior year classes tomorrow morning at 6:30 a.m. and I'm not sure how I feel about it. With the closing out of the semester comes warmer weather and sunnier days. The past week in Virginia has been breezy and beautiful, which has caused me to pull out my shorts and striped tees. This weather is the slight whisper of summertime that I'm sure will be here before we know it.

Today's look is cute and casual and you can easily recreate at home. Something about the springtime makes me want to pull out my overalls. They're incredibly underrated and can be styled in the cutest way. My overalls are from Old Navy, however you can find the perfect pair of overalls at a local Goodwill and make them look good as new with a little DIY magic. Underneath of my overalls, I am wearing my ruffle short-sleeve shirt from J.Crew. I linked a similar one below.

Because we were exploring a hidden greenhouse in Harrisonburg, I threw on my matte black Hunter boots and a cute straw hat, also from J. Crew. However, if I wasn't strolling through a greenhouse, I would style this outfit with a cute pair of sneakers and a baseball cap for a perfect sunny day look.

Simple outfits like this are my favorite for this time of year. It's so easy to throw on a casual top with overalls and head on your way. Accessories are what elevates this look makes this look and makes it so fun.

What are you looking forward to this month?
