May Wishlist

May gives us a green light to shop all things summer. When it comes to summer shopping, I like to include all styles and silhouettes. I know sometimes sweaters and pants can get a little stuffy during the warmer months, but if styled properly I think they can give a unique and personal style to any wardrobe despite the high temperatures.

This May, I'm planning on adding unique colors and prints to my closet. Right now, I am loving beautiful shades of green. It adds an energetic and fresh element to any wardrobe and is fitting at parties, weddings, the office, and date nights. I also am looking to add some flora to my style this summer. A few of the pieces linked, like numbers 9 and 16, share a vibrant prints of flowers and fruits. I love these two pieces because not only are they unique, but they make a statement without being inappropriate or gaudy. They would be fabulous on the beach and perfect walking the streets of vacation towns.

Although I'm praising color and vibrant prints, I also love the ever-classic black and white palette that was prominent in my winter wardrobe. Black and white never go out of style and can hang in your closet for years to come. Items 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, and 13 are all beautiful items that speak for themselves and make a statement in the eyes of fashion lovers. These items won't bankrupt you and will make you look taller, leaner, and more mature while ensuring that the playfulness of the garment remains in tact.

I will say, I bought item number 13 this past weekend and am obsessed these linen pants! They are high waisted and fit like a glove. Make sure to order them true to size and style them with a simple white tee. The culotte wide-leg pant is trendy right now but the fabric and tortoise belt buckle meets the trendiness with a sweet sense of classic style. I styled these pants with a wrap up sandal and a pair of tortoise sunglasses to the office on Tuesday receive so many compliments!
