Weekly Skinny: July 10th
First Weekly Skinny of being 21! I had a fantastic weekend with my friends and family -- thank you to those who wished me well into my 21st year! Since we last spoke, I've been head over heels for a few different things and I couldn't wait to share with you! Also be on the lookout for a YouTube video from me tomorrow!
Starbucks Blueberry Black Tea Refresher - If you read my birthday post here, you know that I still don’t drink coffee. This definitely helps save money at Starbucks, but every now and then I treat myself to a refresher or flavored tea. Right now I am loving the tangy, sweet, refreshing combination that is the Blueberry Black Tea Lemonade. You have to try it!
Stranger Things 3 - The third season of Stranger Things aired on Netflix on July 4th and I finished it in two days. It was very different from the first two seasons seeing as Will was a help to solving the issue, rather than needing saving from his friends. Personally, I favored this season over the other two because there were more layers and characters. I liked how three different storylines crossed in the penultimate episode too to come together in the end towards one greater cause. The ending will wreck you though, watch with tissues.
Wide-Cut Shorts - On my Birthday I popped into H&M to use my insider b-day coupon code and found these cute little shorts on a crowded and overlooked rack. I have since worn them three times and plan on going back for more! These high waisted shorts are wide cut, feature an elastic waist and have pockets!! They also run true to size. Best part?? They’re $12.
For The Throne Album - Game of Thrones has been over for a month now (still slightly bitter), but a new album came out with the wrap of the show called “For The Throne”. This album features some of my favorite artists like Maren Morris, Lennon Stella, and the Lumineers. The songs make me want to drive through the mountains in the fall for hours. If you’re into that vibe, you need to find this album on Spotify.
Notch Neck Top - Stylish athleisure-wear is one of the hottest fashion markets right now. People are busy and active so they want to be comfortable, but they don’t want to compromise their sense of style. Because of this, women are gravitating more towards stylish and slimming and frankly fashionable athletic wear. The Society Season 2 - As Netflix announced the removal of Friends, they also announced that they will be filming a new season of “The Society”, a Lord of the Flies”-esque show set in modern day Connecticut. This show stars Kathryn Newton from Big Little Lies and Alex Fitzalan from Slender Man. I love this show because it has unthinkable twists in the plot. Second season comes out in 2020.
