Nordstrom Sale Highlights
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is upon us! I have a love-hate relationship with the Nordstrom Sale and everything that comes with it. I hate the excessive buying just to buy that bloggers flaunt all over social media and the "I can afford this, so everyone can too!" attitude that seems to be popping up all over feeds. Last year, I finally had to just get off social for a few days! That being said, I think the sale itself is great. As a blogger, I can't afford a majority of the things the sale offers its clients but from a practical perspective, I'm a college intern! The sale is so amazing though because it offers shoppers of all styles and price points the ability to shop for something special. If you shop inexpensive brands like TopShop and J. Crew, the sale has plenty for you. The same goes for all your corporate gals making a yearly salary! If you are interested in completely redoing your wardrobe, you can buy affordable brand names in bulk. On the other hand, you can buy the designer boots you've been saving up for. This truly is the one sale where just about anything you could possibly want in your closet is on sale. Take the advantage of splurging on a designer item or finally cross off a few items on your wishlist. The sale offers every shopper the ability to find something they love.
The sale is already on for those who are Nordstrom Card Holders. You can join the 'Nordy Club' here to get your Nordstrom card. If you aren't interested in that, then you can shop the sale starting July 19th (that's when I'll be shopping!). Just know though that those 'rare sale' items like Tory Burch totes and T3 hair tools will probably be sold out by the time the sale opens up to everyone.
I combed through every sale article, blog post, and try on haul I could find and looked through every page of the Nordstrom Sale catalog and picked out 50+ favorites featured in the sale. My personal favorites are the quilted Barbour jacket, Sam Edelman single breasted coat, Rag and Bone wool hat, and BaubleBar beauty set. Clothing - The clothing at the Nordstrom sale consists of affordable brands like Levi's, J.Crew, Halogen and Topshop. It also features more expensive favorites like Barbour, Patagonia, REFORMATION, and Tibi. I rounded up my favorite clothing items I found in the catalog and through the sneak peek. I have to say, the knockout brand this year in the clothing department is Barbour. quilted and wax jackets are bountiful this sale, all at a great place. The Violet and the Shoreline jackets are both on sale in popular color ways. The two jackets resemble the popular Beadnell which is not on sale this year.
The sale also features a ton of great fall clothes. From rich fall florals and beautiful plaids, you don't have to wait to start curating your autumn wardrobe. I'm obsessed with this Veronica Beard blazer and this Sam Edelman Single Breasted blazer coat.
Shoes - Of course Nordstrom supplied shoppers with hundreds of great shoes to shop. Again, fall footwear outshines the rest with knee-high and over the knee boots on incredible markdown. The Yakira over the knee boot is slimming with the point toe but so stylish for cooler months. If you want a more modest and practical shoe, the Halogen Lucy Calf Hair Loafer is so cute!
Accessories - I think accessories are all around fabulous this year. If you are looking for a new bag, a new watch, a piece of expensive jewelry, a great fall hat, or other fall layers then you should absolutely shop the sale. I personally think I need the Rag and Bone felt hat in my closet before October hits. I can already see it styled with so many cute things on the blog. If you have been looking to treat yourself or someone you love to jewels or anything designer, I would recommend taking a look at this section of the sale. Truthfully, I would start stocking up for Christmas gifts here. Who doesn't want a versatile Tory Burch tote or mixed metal watch?? There are a ton of designer sunglasses feature this year as well. Versace, Fendi, and Gucci are all featured!
Beauty - The knockout items this year for beauty are the T3 hair tools on major sale. You can buy the hair dryer, flat iron, and ever-popular curling iron for a fraction of the regular price. You and me b0th have seen these curling irons all over every bloggers feed over the past two years and now it's finally time to treat yourself to you! The T3 items are going to be one of the first things to sell out. The beauty section is also featuring fabulous designer cosmetics at great prices. Buy Charlotte Tilbury, Dior, Chanel, Bobbi Brown at amazing discounts!
Home & Travel - I don't think the home sale is as great as the other categories. I personally don't want to spend $150 on a silk pillowcase, but if you're looking to do so, you can save a little money! I think the best thing to shop in this section are all of the suitcases. Every adult needs a sturdy and reliable suitcase to grab for when they go on vacation or away for a business trip. Shop for your luggage at the Nordstrom sale! Luggage is already expensive, you might as well buy great quality items on sale!
