Weekly Skinny: June 26th

It's been a busy week but I have loved sitting down and writing blog posts again. It's been something to look forward to each day after work and it's also a healthy way to curb my slight shopping addiction. Here's what I'm loving this week!

Dot's Homestyle Pretzels - My sister raved about these and when I finally went grocery shopping after moving into my apartment I picked up a bag. These is the most delicious snack food and I've already gone back to buy two more bags. Think of the flavor of Chex Mix but all pretzels - my snacking dream! They're so good, you have to try them!

H&M Summer Style - H&M does summer best. They always make the dreamiest dresses and most beautiful accessories. This year, they did a great job tracking trends and have created a beautiful and affordable collection of florals, muted neutral tones, and beach-inspired accessories. Here are a few of my favorites.

Athlete A Documentary - This week Netflix released a new documentary called Athlete A that covered the USA Gymnastics Scandal from 2018. I wrote a paper on this a few years ago and since then I've found the whole thing so interesting. How on earth could such a huge scandal be swept under the rug for so long? The documentary covers Maggie Nichols, a now Oklahoma gymnast, who was abused by Larry Nassar but who's case was never looked into by USAG. She was labeled as Athlete A. By the end of the film I caught myself sitting there with my mouth hanging open with tears in my eyes. A must watch.

Zara Sale - Zara is having their annual summer sale and things are selling quick! I couldn't go too crazy with spending since I had to go to the mechanic this week 😓 but I did buy two dresses that I can see myself wearing all the time. A parrot jacquard knit dress (sold out!) and this black mock turtleneck dress.

Louis Vuitton Look Alike at Walmart - Walmart now sells some fantastic Louis Vuitton look alike products. I mean cross bodies, coin purses, totes, wallets - if you want it from Louis, you can probably get an almost identical product for a fraction of the cost. I can't wait to get my hands on the coin purse for my keys!!

Mrs. Dow Jones - The job market and economy are the most volatile they've ever been. But that doesn't mean that they're completely hopeless - but you have to be smart. Be smart with spending, saving, investing, and understanding your finances for the best and worst case scenarios. I've recommended her to a ton of my friends and they've all said they're so happy they started following her.
